PUBLIC NOTICE FOR SECOND PUBLIC CONSULTATION
CONCERNING THE HOUSING PROJECT IN SHAWVILLE
Under Bill 31, sanctioned by the Government of Quebec on February 21, 2024, which aims to increase and preserve the supply of social, affordable or student housing, and to establish temporary rules to accelerate the completion of housing projects, the Municipality of Shawville announces the holding of a public consultation concerning a housing project subject to its authorization.
PURPOSE OF THE CONSULTATION:
This housing project provides for the construction of a housing complex comprising 4 buildings of 6 dwellings each located on Lot: 5 638 206 on John-Dale Road, the majority of which are dwellings that will be considered affordable. This project may be exempted from certain requirements of the current urban planning regulations, in accordance with the powers granted by Act number 31.
Public notice is hereby given as follows:
Any interested person may express their opinions and concerns during the second public consultation, scheduled for
Monday, March 3th, 2025 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Shawville Community Lodge located at 244 Main St. in Shawville.

CONCERNANT LE PROJET DE LOGEMENTS À SHAWVILLE
En vertu du projet de loi 31, sanctionné par le gouvernement du Québec le 21 février 2024, qui vise à accroître et à préserver l’offre de logements sociaux, abordables ou étudiants, et à établir des règles temporaires pour accélérer la réalisation de projets d’habitation, la Municipalité de Shawville annonce la tenue d’une consultation publique concernant un projet d’habitation soumis à son autorisation.
OBJET DE LA CONSULTATION :
Ce projet d’habitation prévoit la construction d’un complexe d’habitation comprenant 4 bâtiments de 6 logements chacun situés sur le lot : 5 638 206 du chemin John-Dale, dont la majorité sont des logements qui seront considérés comme abordables. Ce projet peut être exempté de certaines exigences de la réglementation d’urbanisme en vigueur, conformément aux pouvoirs accordés par la Loi numéro 31.
UN AVIS PUBLIC EST PAR LA PRESENTE DONNER COMME SUIT:
Toute personne intéressée pourra exprimer ses opinions et préoccupations lors de la deuxième consultation publique, prévue le lundi 3 mars 2025 entre 19h00 et 20h00. au Shawville Community Lodge situé au 244, rue Main à Shawville.
