TO AMEND THE ZONING BY-LAW NUMBER 417

WHEREAS: The Planning Advisory Committee has received requests from local Main St. Store front Owners. Asking to protect the commercial store front along Main St. in the commercial areas.

WHEREAS: the Planning Advisory Committee has recommended that it is advisable to amend the Zoning By-Law Number 417 to restrict:

Main floor along Main Street in Zone CM-1 to be restricted to Commercial and Services Group usage

WHEREAS: Richard Armitage brings in a notice of motion on April 11, 2023

WHEREAS: Under CM1 an addition under usages specifically allowed

f) Main floor commercial usage

Zoning Bylaw

THEREFORE: it is moved by __________, to amend the zoning By-Law Number 417 to restrict Zone CM-1 the Main floor Commercial and Services usage.  The zoning amendment will include the Group 2 usage for every lot within the zone CM-1.

The present bylaw shall come into force according to Law.

By-Law Number 459 was adopted as read at a regular meeting of Council held  March 26, 2024 and will come into force according to law.
