Become a Member
Becoming a member of the Shawville-Clarendon Library opens the door to a wealth of resources and community activities. Beyond these traditional library offerings, members can utilize three computers equipped with high-speed internet and wireless internet access, enhancing digital literacy and connectivity. The Pontiac Archives, located in the basement of the Library, is a significant repository of the region’s history and heritage. It operates with the mission of preserving and making accessible the historical records of Pontiac. As a central point for local historical research, the Pontiac Archives serves not only as a resource for historians and genealogists but also as an educational tool for the community, fostering a deeper understanding of the area’s rich past.

The Archives are normally open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
